Module 12 - Common Objections

  1. Objection: The cost is too much. Response: That makes sense that you would feel that way. The initial cost seems like a lot, but wait until you see what financial aid and scholarships you qualify for before ruling us out. Additionally, you will see that in these programs, students graduate and get jobs with a starting salary that makes paying loans back manageable. These costs allow us to have smaller class sizes and provide so many opportunities for you to get involved and have personal connections with faculty.

  2. Objection: I might want to be Synod Certified for teaching. Response: There are more and more opportunities opening up that allow teaching in a WELS school upon graduation more possible. With the teacher shortage, many schools are looking for qualified teachers to fill the gap.

  3. Objection: I went to high school just down the road. This feels a little too close to home. Response: I can understand how you might feel that way. However, there is so much going on and so much to get involved with here on campus that it has a totally different feel than high school. Plus you can have the perks of going home if you want to!
